Don Mundie currently serves as an Advisor to the firm in its work and relationships with private equity and venture capital firms.  Don’s work with the firm, while covering a variety of industries, has a focus in the healthcare and information technology sectors.  In addition to advising the firm during its search engagements, Don also assists in business development efforts with private equity and venture funds.

Previously, Don founded the Venture Capital and Private Equity Practice for Matteson Partners, a regional executive search firm.  Prior to joining Matteson, Don was active as a consultant, investment banker and venture capitalist for over 22 years.  He founded Delta Capital in 1992 where he raised and managed three venture capital funds with total capital under management of $92MM.  Under Don’s leadership, Delta made over 35 investments in early and growth stage companies in a variety of industries.  Prior to Delta, he was part of Union Planters’ Investment Banking Group where he was responsible for the structure and placement of various debt and equity transactions designed for banks, insurance companies and pension funds.  He started his career as a consultant for Ernst & Young.

Don received his MBA in Finance as well as his BA in Management from Mississippi State University . Don continues to serve as a Board Member or Board Observer on several of Delta’s portfolio companies.  Don and his wife live in Nashville and have three grown sons.
