Brian Kelley, Partner

Brian Kelley, a 25 year veteran in Healthcare both in industry and search, serves as a partner leading the Healthcare Practice. The breadth of his consulting experience has focused on an array of healthcare sectors including, devices, payers and providers. In addition, he has worked closely with the Private Equity and Venture Capital sectors assisting on senior level searches, deal analysis, management audits and advisory board services He is also involved in business development and client management for the firm.

Prior to joining The Buffkin Group, Mr. Kelley, was a Managing Director at Canny, Bowen, the oldest, privately held executive search firm in the United States.  Prior to Canny, Bowen, Mr. Kelley was a leading director in the Healthcare Practice at Ray & Berndtson and The Directorship Search Group. 

Prior to his career in executive search, Brian served as Director of Occupational Medicine Services for HEALTHSOUTH Rehabilitation Corporation, a Fortune 500 company. Before this, he was Director of Managed Care Contracting and Director of Marketing/Public Relations with Professional Sports Care Management, Inc. (PSCM), a publicly traded company and a leader in outpatient rehabilitation services. In 1995, Brian started Professional Work Care, LLC (PWC), a wholly owned subsidiary of PSCM, where he served as Founder and Director. PWC provided occupational medicine services to large self-insured employer groups and contracted with managed care organizations. The combined companies were sold to HEALTHSOUTH in 1996.

Born and raised in Greenwich, Connecticut. Brian remains an active member of the Connecticut Special Olympics Committee and the Connecticut Grand Old Party. Brian graduated from Boston College with a B.A. in Business and a minor in Philosophy. After graduation he pursued professional baseball in the United States and completed his baseball career overseas with a Dutch National Baseball organization, The Kinheim Reds. Brian was inducted to the Boston College Sports Hall of Fame in 2004 – Baseball. Brian currently lives in Greenwich, Connecticut with his two children, daughter Grayson O’Hara and son Jack Parker.
